Investigators Seek Home Surveillance Videos after One Loudoun Break-in

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office detectives are working to identify a suspect in a July 6 burglary of an Ashburn home and are seeking home security surveillance video in the One Loudoun neighborhood.

The suspect entered a home in the 20600 block of Exchange Street shortly after midnight on Saturday. It is suspected that he may have gained access to a garage door opener from an unlocked vehicle and entered the home through the garage. Inside, the suspect removed jewelry and a firearm. The man was seen on surveillance video leaving the home on a bicycle taken from the garage.

The suspect is described as a man, 5-foot, 9-inches to 5-foot, 10-inches tall, and was wearing a white pullover sweatshirt with the hood up, and pants.

Investigators are asking residents who live near this location and have external cameras that have stored recordings to review their video during the time frame of 10 p.m. on July 5 to 4 a.m. on July 6. Anyone who finds suspicious activity is asked to contact Detective M. Wealand at 571-258-3247.
