Event Raises $1.5K to Help Teen Cancer America

The Leesburg branch of First Citizens Bank joined with Loudoun Brewing Company to raise more than $1,500 for nonprofit Teen Cancer America.

TCA partners with hospitals to create treatment and recovery spaces and programs for teens and young adults with cancer.

The event featured a mac and cheese cook off and a performance by the Skins and Strings band.

“It was a great event to support an important cause,” said Scott German, manager of First Citizens’ Leesburg branch. “For the past few years, First Citizens has been sharing the need for a greater focus on cancer care and research, especially for teens and young adults, in all the markets we serve—so we wanted to do our part in Leesburg. By supporting the tremendous work of TCA, we’re making a positive difference in the lives of young people with cancer. Thanks so much to the local community and Loudoun Brewing Company for giving back. We hope to do it again next year.”

Founded in 1898, First Citizens is the largest family-controlled bank in the U.S., with offices in 19 states. The Leesburg branch is located at 40 Catoctin Circle NE.
