Editor: I have known Buta Bijerai, the Democratic candidate for Commonwealth’s Attorney, for many years.

Loudoun County residents would be very lucky to have my friend Buta Biberaji. The person I know is intelligent, effective, caring, compassionate and very, very honorable.

As an attorney in private practice, representing many grateful Loudoun families, Buta is very respected by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. The officers and detectives know they better do their homework if Buta is opposing counsel. This ensures fairness in the process. Inspiring respect among rank and file police officers and investigators is no easy feat. Buta Biberaji has done it.

On a personal level, I am crossing party lines to support Buta. I am a lifelong conservative. But Buta and I share the belief that drug treatment is better than incarceration; youthful, or any mistake, for that matter, should not haunt a person for life, or stand in the way of a better life. Too often, non-violent mistakes destroy lives.

Criminal records should be sealed when all debts to society are paid. As a mother, grandmother, person, taxpayer, human being, I have too often seen mistakes destroy lives, not reform them.

People do change. As a society, we should try to help our vulnerable succeed. I think Buta Biberaji will do just that as Commonwealth’s Attorney for Loudoun County.

I strongly encourage my fellow citizens of Loudoun County to vote for Buta Biberaji this November. She is an all around great person.

And Ms. Wittman is a fine upstanding member of society that puts bad guys behind bars when necessary. The other has been getting people off for their crimes a homerun to her is getting the guilty off scott free. Give me a prosecutor to prosecute any day.

Has Ms. Whittman moves into Loudoun County yet? Last I heard she lived in Herndon and commuted to Loudoun for work.

I agree whole heartily with Ms. Fortanbury…Buta Biberaj is an outstanding attorney and judge and has the highest of integrity and she is well respected on all sides and will make an outstanding Commonwealth’s Attorney and is exactly what this county needs. The difference is she cares about the commonwealth of mankind and she believes in the goodness of people and she wouldn’t be just about her or the counties conviction rate. She will be tough when she has to but also open to change and rehabilitation especially with our youth and first offenders. Our current Commonwealths attorney’s office is broken and stuck in the past and the writing is on the wall and the winds of change are prevailing. Hence the quick exit by Plowman who knew his reign of terror was coming to an end so he took the first exit out…A vote for Buta Biberaj is a vote for liberty, a vote for justice, and a vote for fairness where innocence until proven guilty is still sacred and preserved…Go Buta!

I like Buta’s approach for effective use of county resources. Time and money should be focused on violent crimes and property crimes. Let’s not waste resources sending minor offenses through the criminal system.

Would you hire a child molester to watch your children, a bank robber to administer your finances, a illegal alien to watch the border, No! So then why elect a criminal lawyer to a prosecutors position unless you are being 100% partisan.
She is buying a house here but I doubt you’ll get a house warming invite.
I never knew the Commonwealth attorney’s office was broken thanks for the news flash. What does that even mean, yikes?
