Loudoun Little Leaguers Play Tonight in Regional Semi-Finals

Loudoun South American is hoping to extend its 14-game winning streak for at least two more games to secure a trip to the Little League World Series.

The local all-star team plays a semi-final match tonight at 7 p.m. at the Southeast Region tournament in Warner Robins, GA, against Georgia’s Peachtree City, a team that defeated them in last year’s championship game. Tonight’s game is scheduled to be aired live on ESPN2.

On Saturday, Loudoun South defeated Northwood, SC, 12-3. Georgia beat West Virginia 23-0 on Friday.

Last year, Peachtree City shut out Loudoun South American, 3-0, to advance to the World Series in Williamsport, PA. The winner of Monday’s game will advance to the championship on Wednesday, with the loser dropping to the loser’s bracket semifinal on Tuesday.

Team supporters plan a watch party at Glory Days Grill at the Village Plaza Center in Stone Ridge.
