Updated] Loudoun South American is riding a 15-game winning streak into tomorrow night’s Southeastern Region tournament finals with a trip to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA, on the line.
On Monday night, the South Riding-based team recorded a walk-off 6-5 victory over Georgia’s Peachtree City, the team that defeated them in last year’s championship game.
Loudoun South won’t learn their opponent for the final game, to be played at 3 p.m. Wednesday and televised on ESPN, until Wednesday morning.
Peachtree City was scheduled to play South Carolina at 5 p.m. today, battling for their chance to advance to the finals, but that game was postponed until 9 a.m. tomorrow. That means the winners will be playing a final day doubleheader in their pursuit of the regional title.
The tournament is being played in Warner Robins, GA.
