Loudoun South American is scheduled to take the field at 3 p.m. today in the final game in its quest to qualify for the Little League World Series. They’ll face Peachtree City, GA, the team that ended their season in last year’s regional tournament.
Loudoun beat Peachtree 6-5 during Monday’s semi-final round, but the Georgia team fought its way back to the Southeast Regional final by beating South Carolina 10-1 in the consolation bracket Wednesday morning—a game that was postponed last night and forces Peachtree into a double header today.
Loudoun is riding a 15-game winning streak into the final game.
The tournament is being played in Warner Robins, GA. The 3 p.m. game will be televised live on ESPN. Velocity Wings locations around Loudoun are hosting watch parties this afternoon.
