Negligent drivers killing innocent people has happened one too many times in Loudoun. (One time is too many.) Proverbs states that he who is negligent is brother to him who destroys. What will the 18 year-old get for taking a life in additional to non-life threatening injuries? Maximum 1 year sentence probably reduced to less than half of that with community service.

Who else is negligent? LCSO. I can count with my one hand the number of deputies out on patrol. Yes, I saw recently a police cruiser pulled over a speeder on Gloucester Road on a Saturday morning with little volume of traffic.

Actually I did see another cruiser on Rt 7 heading west towards Ashburn near the Rt 28 merge. I said, “Yay!” But oh, disappointment, it was a state police car parked on the median.

Please pray about the savagery of too many drivers on beautiful roads in Loudoun, lack of patrol, and for the poor family of the young mother whose life was instantly taken by an inattentive driver.
