Tony Ambroza, the chief brand officer of Dearborn-based workwear brand Carhartt Inc., has been elected to serve on Lucketts-based SkillsUSA’s board of directors.
He was elected at the organization’s National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY.
“At Carhartt, we believe in inspiring the next generation to think, create and build with their hands, which is why we’ve been an official partner of SkillsUSA for nearly 20 years,” Ambroza stated. “We’re committed to serving and protecting the skilled workers way of life, so it’s an honor to join the SkillsUSA Board to bring more hard-working individuals into the trades.”
SkillsUSA is a nonprofit partnership of students, teachers and industries dedicated to strengthening the country’s skilled workforce, according to the release. The organization has more than 360,000 annual members nationwide in high schools, colleges and middle schools.
