Registration will open Tuesday for the Step Up Loudoun Youth Competition. Held annually since 2010, the program is sponsored by Loudoun Youth Inc. in partnership with Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services and challenges individuals and teams to create and implement plans to address community issues.
Registration closes Dec. 20. Once registered, students work on their projects with teammates, parents, teachers and school counselors in preparation for the competition, to be held on March 16 at the Loudoun County Public Schools Administration Building. The top ten teams will advance to a final round of judging to take place March 24 at Telos Corporation in Ashburn.
The top 10 teams will earn prizes ranging from $100 to $1,000. The competition is supported by Loudoun County Public Schools and sponsored by the YouthQuest Foundation.
