Loudoun Sheriff’s Office Investigates Road Death in Sterling

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman who was struck by a car on Algonkian Parkway near Westmoreland Drive in CounrtrySide early Thursday morning. 

         According to the report, a driver called 911 shortly before 4 a.m. to report that he saw a person in the road, but was unable to stop in time and struck her. The adult female was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

On Thursday evening, the agency issued an update of the investigation stating that it appeared the woman intentionally entered the roadway before she was struck by the vehicle and killed.
