Hundreds Line Up at Mom’s Apple Pie

Spring-like weather gave hundreds of Loudouners waiting to buy Thanksgiving dessert at Mom’s Apple Pie on Tuesday a much warmer experience than usual.

The 28-year-old Leesburg shop bakes and sells thousands of pies during the week of Thanksgiving, which residents purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis. Long lines out the front door are always seen in the days leading up to the holiday.

The shop is located at 220 Loudoun Street and will be open Wednesday until 6:30 p.m. The Round Hill location is located at 35426 Harry Byrd Highway and will be open Wednesday until 7 p.m.
