Santa Continues Rides Through Leesburg

Santa Claus continued his annual visits to Leesburg children Thursday night, riding around the Potomac Station neighborhood atop a Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company firetruck with sirens blaring.

Dozens of kids ran out of the warmth of their homes to chase Santa—along with Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer—down Potomac Station Drive in nearly freezing temperatures. Other fire company vehicles followed behind, using their horns to mimic classic Christmas tunes.

Kids in other communities can expect to see St. Nick Friday night, Dec. 6 in downtown Leesburg and in the Carvale and Heritage Square communities. On Saturday, Dec. 7, he’ll be in 15 additional neighborhoods; on Sunday, Dec. 8, he’ll ride through five communities; and on Monday, Dec. 9, he’ll make it to three more.

Each night, Santa will ride from 6-9 p.m. Get detailed route information at facebook.com/leesburgfire.
