Donations Support Frances Hazel Reid Elementary Playground

Frances Hazel ReidElementary School announced a gift of $5,000 from the Matt Elliott Home Selling Team at Keller Williams in Leesburg, the latest donation to help build its new playground, which will open in the fall.

“We are deeply grateful to Matt Elliott and Jodi Marquith of the Matt Elliott Home Selling Team for being the lead donor on this critical project. We know that outside creative play has such a pivotal role on our children’s health and well-being, and we are deeply grateful to Matt Elliott Home Selling Team for their leadership and partnership in making this project a reality,” said Frances Hazel Reid Principal Brenda Jochems.

“I am proud to support this important project to ensure that our community’s children have access to outside areas for creative play,” said Jodi Marquith, Playground chair and Realtor at the Matt Elliott Home Selling Team. “As an FHR parent and community business here in Loudoun County, I felt motivated to give back to the school and its’ students so I not only devoted my time but my partner, Matt Elliott, and I decided to go all in to help make this dream a reality.”

“My favorite memories include taking my own daughters to playgrounds around Leesburg and Loudoun County. Knowing the school was in need of a new playground, I couldn’t think of anything more exciting than to help them as much as we could,” Elliott said. “One of the best sounds I hear is kids laughing, playing and enjoying the simplicity of a local playground. This playground not only benefits the students at FHR but the Leesburg community as a whole and we are thrilled to support the community we live in and to be a part of this!”

Funds for the playground project were raised by the PTA during the pasttwoyears.

Other local companies supporting the playground project include Climatic Heating & Cooling, Velocity Telecom Services, Air Cleaning Technologies,Hunt Country Masonry, Luck Stone, Superior Paving, Falls Church Paving, Kimley-Horn, Treelife.
