Law Firm Boosts Heroes Hockey Program

Burnett & Williams attorneys Peter Burnett and Matthew Bass this week presented a contribution to representatives of the Loudoun County Heroes Hockey Inc. to thank the organization for their community efforts.

The firm became aware of the organization when it helped organize Bear Chase Brewery’s annual Military Appreciation Day in November. Burnett & Williams worked with the organization to produce patches for the teams to wear on their hockey jerseys to show support for their efforts.

The Loudoun County Heroes Hockey Inc. is a nonprofit organized to administer an ice hockey program that provides purpose, motivation, direction, education, and camaraderie for first responders, civil servants, veterans and disabled veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. The organization has an all-volunteer, USA Hockey-certified staff. Donations are used to help mitigate the cost of enrolling teams in local house leagues, helping teams participate in travel tournaments, creating opportunities for advanced skills or learn-to-play classes, and other therapeutic and team building activities for their overall well-being.

“At Burnett &Williams, as personal injury trial lawyers we admire and aspire towards the drive and dedication of the veterans who serve our country. We are proud to support Loudoun County Heroes Hockey Inc.,” Bass said.
