Bicycle Outfitters was founded in August of 1988 by Craig & John DuBois in Leesburg Virginia. In April of 1999 Grahame Reffell bought the store and Mark Werner and Dave Ballinger became the owners in January of 2007.
When Werner and Ballinger purchased the shop from Reffell it was less then 3000-square-feet. In November of 2009 the store was relocated to the Ben Franklin Shopping Center on Catoctin Circle in Leesburg Virginia to a 7000-square-foot store.
Bicycle Outfitters now has two locations with the 3700-square-foot Brambleton store covering Eastern Loudoun and Western Fairfax. The new Leesburg location as of 2015 is 7000-square-foot and has a full service coaching, fit and maintenance department. The store serves folks as far away as Winchester providing sales and full service from one of the most knowledgeable staffs to the Northern Virginia area.
Bicycle Outfitters has a full line of bicycles and accessories for all ages. Bicycle lines include Trek, Electra, Cannondale and Giant. Other popular lines of clothing and accessories will be Bontrager, Pearl Izumi, Light & Motion bicycle lights, Camelback, GoPro cameras and many other top of the line cycling products.
